India Squad for Asia Cup 2022 Predicted

The wait is finally over, the Asia Cup 2022 is just around the corner and we are waiting for the tournament to start just yesterday. The tournament is being held in UAE which is quite an exciting venue.

The anticipation about the schedule was fulfilled this week and now we await the Asia Cup 2022 India Squad announcement which is due on Monday.

For the squad, there are many factors that may affect the selection. Be it player’s availability, the playing conditions, form, team balance, and what not and it would be fair if the Board takes the right decision keeping in account all the factors.

Analyzing the same, we have come up with a list of players who might make it to the final cut. Let’s take a look at them:

  1. Rohit Sharma

The obvious selection, the captain is in good form and will play a crucial role in India’s road to the finals.

2. Virat Kohli

There might be some noise about his form but he is the experience team needs when it comes to big tournaments. Fans will hope the superstar gets his form back in the tournament.

3. Surya Kumar Yadav

The man in dream form, 2nd at ICC T20I Ranking, SKY has skyrocketed hopes laid on him. He is one of the most crucial players in the batting department. His consistency is all India will need,

4. Rishabh Pant

The extravagant wicketkeeper batter has the best chance to prove he can play T20Is as good as Tests. Fans would like him to play more responsibly in the shortest format.

5. Hardik Pandya

His comeback to the team is one of the most impactful we have seen in a long time. Pandya is an all-round player that is much required by a team in UAE conditions. His good performance is must required. Selector’s will keep in mind while selecting the Vice Captain.

6. Dinesh Karthik

Turning heads with comebacks is also Dinesh Karthik who has adapted to the role of finisher so well in the last few months that we have become blind to other options. The most talked about player, we are all in to see him hit it big towards the end for the team.

7. Ravindra Jadeja

Be it batting or bowling, we know Jadeja is a reliable player who is an asset to the team. He has performed brilliantly in UAE and his experience is something we need in the team.

8. Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzi has proven that if India is playing T20I, he has to be there in the team. His performance in recent times has been so impactful, that he is just impossible to ignore.

9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

His resurgence has impressed us all. There was never a doubt about his skills but with experience, Bhuvi has gotten only better. It will be a treat to watch Swing King do his magic.

10. Jasprit Bumrah

The pace leader is an obvious selection. Leading the bowling attack, Boom-Boom will be expected to be at his best form after the break.

11. Arshdeep Singh

The young lad has impressed everyone like no other. He has pace and knows how to bowl in the right length consistently. His discipline and IPL experience will help during the tournament.

12. Deepak Hooda

Even after great performances Hooda has had his tough time making it to the playing XI. His selection in the squad is sure shot and will be helpful in certain conditions.

13. R Ashwin

You really have to be courageous to keep Ashwin out of your squad when playing in UAE. His ploy is hard to understand and can be useful in strategising against tough teams

14. Harshal Patel

We have seen him perform brilliantly in IPL in these pitches. He is one of those bowlers who can make best use of these conditions and is a crucial selection in the squad.

15. KL Rahul

A contender for Vice Captain during the cup and the player people are worshipping for to recover fast, KL is a hard miss. His fitness and recovery are a concern but if he is fit, he is definitely in the team.
