In the 40th match of the Indian Premier League 2024, Delhi Capitals clashed with Gujarat Titans at Arun Jaitley, New Delhi. Gujarat won the toss and took the chase route today. Delhi batting first they posted 224/4 in 20 overs. With the like of Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel Delhi came into the diving seat, but Gujarat changed the gears with Miller and Sai Sudarshan. Rashid Khan gave a great fight back yet missed the win with 4 runs. Delhi Capitals wins by 4 runs.

Delhi Came in to bat with Prithvi Shaw and Jake Fraser, who could not gave a good back to the start as they departed early in the power play to Sandeep Warrier. Delhi was 36 for 2 loss in 4 overs, Then Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant came in to set the stage on fire. As they gave a good break through to the side. Knocking some good runs which elevated the chance to stay in the winning side and not loose hope.
Axar knocked a massive 66 off 43 and sent off by Noor Ahmad in the 17th over. There Pant stayed not out from one end he held played safe shots yet big ones in the end overs. That took the team to a decent total after Axar Patel departed. Pant collected 88 runs off 43 balls from his bat and a captain’s innings by the champ today. Delhi Capitals ultimately reached the mark of 200 and in total they posted 224 in 20 overs.
In attack Gt bowlers did a tremendous job at the start but could noy stop the batters in the middle of the run gains, Sandeep Warrier clinched 3 of them, in the power play which gave a good break through to GT but yet DC managed to get good run on the board.

Delhi vs Gujarat Highlights: Sai- Miller sets the stage for chase, Rashid Khan gave a good fight back yet missed the win.
Gujarat came in to chase the 200+ score with Wriddhiman Saha and Skipper Shubman Gill. Gujarat could not get good runs from Gill’s bat, But Saha gave saved the power play with Sai Sudrashan. The Duo gave a good come back and took the innings to a better stage.
There Saha scored 39 and Sai Sudrashan played a knock of 65 and left the chase at 124/4. Then David Miller stayed on the crease, but no batter gave him the proper back to play hard on the DC bowlers. Miller did a great job with 55 runs off 23 balls which gave a spark in the GT chase.
Which helped Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore to get some good run and take the game close to the win. Rashid Khan gave a great fight back to the big chase, and knocked 21 fiery runs this time. But Mukesh Kumar did a great job for the side delivering variations in the death overs. DC wins by 4 runs.
