Shoaib Akhtar Hits Back At ICC After Getting Trolled For His Comments

Shoaib Akhtar, former Pakistan speedster, is still the main focus of his social media activities even after he bids goodbye to the cricket world. The Rawalpindi Express ‘s heart never shies, always leading to controversies and divisions.

Akhtar recently stirred a new controversy and lifted a pair of eyebrows as he dug into Steve Smith of Australia. Taking a reference to the Smith-Archer bouncer, Akhtar believed that after hurling three bouncers, he can dismiss the prolific Australian batsman on the fourth ball.

Akhtar wrote, “Even today, three hurting bouncers, and I can dismiss @stevesmith49 on the 4th ball, in response to a tweet by Website that compared cricketers in the past and the current time. “Lol.”

Shoaib Akhar had criticized Steve Smith in the past too

ICC joined the bandwagon with several fans and made a dig in Akhtar with a hilarious pic. ICC’s jibe, however, has not been successful in former Pakistan international. Akhtar responded to the ICC on Wednesday and felt neutrality had been thrown off the window by the Council. Akhtar also asked the working of the ICC while answering that tweet.

“A symbolic tweet about how the ICC threw neutrality out of the window. In essence, that’s how the situation works, “the speedster tweeted.

This is not the first time that Akhtar criticized the batting of Steve Smith. Earlier, Akhtar had thought that if the right-hand batsman was in his time, he would definitely have a trial to hurt Smith. It would have been a fantastic competition to watch as Akhtar was considered to be one of the toughest bowlers.

In 163 ODIs, the speedster scalped 247 wickets, including four-wicket hauls. Akhtar clocked 161.3 kilometers per hour during his 2003 World Cup Group game against England and brought his name into record books in a professional cricket bowling the fastest delivery.
