He said he could not see the revival of cricket for nearly a year due to the novel virus that has taken over 1 lakh lives worldwide. Reading the 44-year-old said it was a difficult time for every person in the world. But everyone should come back strong.

“If you ask me honestly, I don’t know how long the coronavirus outbreak will last. If you don’t know how many people are infected, you can’t go anywhere with any cricket,” Akhtar said in a video posted on his YouTube channel.

I have not seen cricket played for at least a year due to coronavirus. I know the virus bothering us for a year. These are troublesome times, and I hope we get out of this strongly, ”he added.
