KKR vs PBKS Highlights: It has been a historical day in the history of the Indian Premier League as a 260-plus target was chased down by the Punjab Kings with ease and got into the history books. It was raining boundaries here at Kolkata, where first the home side started the onslaught with their openers and then it was Punjab Kings who completely dismantled the KKR bowling lineup.

Where Sunil once again smashed a blistering half-century of (71 of 32 balls), while Philip Salt scored 75 of 37 balls. Then Venkatesh Iyer (39), Russell (24), & Shreyas Iyer (28) propelled the KKR score to a massive 261/6 in 20 overs.

For KKR it was their openers who did the most of the damage, they both scored 15 fours and 10 sixes together. KKR in total scored 18 massive sixes. However, these innings from Sunil Narine and Philip Salt were crucial in posting a huge total for KKR.

Punjab Kings recorded the highest-ever chase in the history of IPL after they chased down the massive target of 261 in just 18.4 overs. Prabhsimran Singh and Jonny Bairstow were absolutely outstanding with their fearless batting approach. They both smashed 93 for the opening partnership, where Prabhsimran Singh scored 54 runs in just 20 balls with five massive sixes and four boundaries.

While yet again it was Jonny Bairstow who stole the show from KKR with his blistering century to guide Punjab to victory. Jonny scored an unbeaten 108* off 48 balls with 9 huge sixes and 8 boundaries. After the opener Prabhsimran got dismissed it was Shashank Singh who anchored the innings with raining boundaries along with Jonny to chase down the target with easy. 

Shashank Singh scored an unbeaten knock of 68 runs from 28 balls, this combined effort from Punjab took them to victory with easy. KKR bowlers were completely clueless as the Punjab batter gave no chance to control the game.

However, it was the away side Punjab Kings who won the match by 8 wickets, with huge thanks to Jonny Bairstow, Prabhsimran Singh, and Shashank Singh. Even though KKR gave a tough target for Punjab their bowlers were unable to stop the onslaught and thus ended up on the losing side.
