Pakistan Super League 2020 edition has postponed due to coronavirus outbreak. As the fifth edition of the T20 Tournament moves into the final stages, Alex Hales hits the news headlines that feature the COVID-19. The news forced the PCB to postpone the match, and now Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal was speaking the same way at 2 AM when he received a text message from England International.

The fifth season of the PSL played for the first time in Pakistan after the entire tournament came into existence. Everything went smoothly before the pandemic came into the picture. Many foreign players have joined the league. However, many international players, including Alex Hales, have returned home following the travel restrictions imposed by their government.

Karachi Kings owner explains the situation after receiving a text from Alex Hales:

Soon, news of Alex Hales featuring COVID-19 features for the Karachi Kings came to light. This is the main reason behind the postponement of the tournament. Now, a month later, Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal briefly describes what happened at that time.

In an interview, the owner of the Karachi Kings said he received a text message from Alex Hales at 2 am. In the message, the England cricketer wrote that he had some symptoms of coronavirus. And everyone should complete their inspection before any trouble. Later, according to Salman, he received a call from Dean Jones, his team’s coach.

He said everyone on the team was scared. If a player is tested positive, he will have to keep himself alone until he successfully recovers.

“It was two o’clock in the morning in Pakistan, and we got a message from Alex Hales: ‘Boss, I have COVID-19 features, I think you should all be tested. I got a call right away from Coach Dean Jones.

“We are all scared. If you have symptoms, you should be alone. I’m desperately trying to get someone to Birmingham to test Hales. I also asked if my doctor would go to him from London, but that didn’t happen, ”Salman said in an interview.
