Comedy Moments Prevails At Pakistan Super League (PSL)

The action-packed 23rd match of the ongoing fifth season of the Pakistan Super League witnessed some rib-tickling moments. The anxiety of the crowd witnessing the high voltage face-off between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings broke into fits of laughter after Karachi King’s wicketkeeper Chadwick Walton grabbed Lahore Qalandars’ batsmen Ben Dunk instead of a ball.

It all started the minute when Dunk tried to play a reverse sweep of the last delivery of the 10th over by King’s all-rounder Cameron Delport saw him top-edging the ball. Taking the shot as a probable chance of getting Ben Dunk caught out, Walton stepped out to grab the ball, without being aware of the location of the ball. In an attempt to grab the ball, Walton landed up and grabbed Ben Dunk by his leg.

Lahore Qalandars’ registered their victory by having chased a mammoth of 188 runs in 20 overs. The 140 run partnership between Sohail Akthar (68) and Dunk (99) played a catalytic role in helping Lahore Qalandars’ victory over Karachi Kings. Dunk’s performance, which comprised of 3 fours and 12 sixes, which were a complete feat for the audience to watch.

The 32-year-old Dunk is the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament. His total score includes 250 runs, at an average of 83.33 and a strike rate of 201.61. He is supposed to be in the race of man of the tournament.

Sohail Akthar had won the toss and had elected to field first. Taking the advantage, the Karachi Kings posted a dominating score of 187/5 in 20 overs. From Karachi Kings, Alex Hales was the top scorer for the team who had scored 80 (48) six fours and five sixes.
