#7 Wasim Akram – 3,717 runs | 502 wickets

He put on one of the greatest all-round performances on the biggest of world stages. Wasim Akram’s all-round genius came to the fore in the 1992 World Cup final against England. He picked up 502 wickets in 356 ODIs at a bowling average of 23.52. Akram was a handy lower-order batter who scored 3,717 runs at an average of 16.52. His net difference (-7) fetches him the seventh spot on the list.

#6 Sanath Jayasuriya – 13,430 runs | 323 wickets 

He was a trendsetting ODI giant. Sanath Jayasuriya makes it to the list of all-rounders purely on basis of his longevity in the game. He was a canny bowler in addition to being a swashbuckling opener. Jayasuriya scored 13,430 runs at a batting average of 32.36. He picked 323 wickets in 445 ODIs at a bowling average of 36.75. His net difference (-4.39) slots him at number 6 on this list.

#5 Kapil Dev – 3,783 runs | 253 wickets 

He is the only one among the quartet of greatest all-rounders to have made this list. Kapil Dev picked up 253 wickets at a bowling average of 27.45 and scored 3,783 runs at an average of 23.79. He is number fifth on the list as his difference (-3.66) of batting and bowling average is in the negative.

#4 Abdul Razzaq – 5,080 runs | 269 wickets

He was one of the most underrated allrounders of his generation. Abdul Razzaq could slot in any number in the batting order. He was a clean striker of the cricket ball. Razzaq was known to break crucial partnerships with the ball. He scored 5,080 runs at an average of 29.70. Razzaq picked up 269 wickets with his military medium pace at a bowling average of 31.83. He occupies the fourth spot on this list thanks to his net difference (-2.13) 

#3 Shaun Pollock – 3,519 runs | 393 wickets 

He was in the mould of Wasim Akram who was a perfect number 8. Shaun Pollock matched Glenn McGrath’s consistency when it came to hitting the top of the off stump. He picked up 393 wickets in 303 ODIs at a bowling average of 24.50. Pollock was the ideal 8 who frustrated bowlers with his blows at the end. He scored 3,519 runs at an average of 26.45. His net difference (+1.95) is on the higher side as compared to other illustrious names on this list.

#2 Shakib Al Hasan – 6,835 runs | 294 wickets

He is the world’s leading all-rounder currently. Shakib Al Hasan is the only active player on this list. He has scored 6,835 runs so far in 224 ODIs at an average of 37.55. Hasan has picked 294 wickets an average of 29.06. His net difference (+8.49) gives him bragging rights at the number two spot of elite ODI all-rounders.

#1 Jacques Kallis – 11,579 runs | 273 wickets

He was seen as the Sachin Tendulkar of batting and Zaheer Khan of bowling. Jacques Kallis was arguably one of the finest number three’s to have ever played the game. He played the part of the fourth seamer to perfection. Kallis scored 11,579 runs at an outstanding average of 44.36. He picked up 273 wickets in 328 ODIs at a bowling average of 31.79. His net difference (+12.57) slots him right at the top of this list.
