Legends league cricket shifted to India, Jacques Kallis, Dale Steyn among star players to play the second edition

A good news coming in for all the cricket lovers in India as the organisers of Legends League Cricket announced on Saturday that the second edition of the tournament will be held in India instead of Oman.

Given the enormous fan base for the Legends of the Game in India and the positive reception to the first season from the country, LLC decided to move the base to India for the future season beginning in September 2022.

How many players are taking part in Legends League Cricket 2?

The first edition witnessed a huge following from India for all the legends all around the world. While in the second edition, the stage will be bigger as there will be as many as 110 legends will take part in this event, with South Africa greats Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn will be part of tournament.

The cricket venues are currently being selected for the league, which will start on September 20, 2022. The best cricketers from more than nine different nations will compete.

Raman Raheja, Co-Founder, and CEO, of Legends League Cricket, said, “We have been constantly receiving requests from fans to hold the series in India and we are excited to bring the Legends League second season back home. We have the maximum number of cricket fans here in India.”

“The first season had maximum viewership from India, followed by Pakistan and Sri Lanka followed by the rest of the world. We hope to give a better experience to our viewers and cricket enthusiasts. We are sure that the cricketing fans will rejoice in our decision to shift the base to India as the excitement of watching live cricket cannot be matched,” he added.

Which players are taking part in Legends League Cricket 2?

Several players such as Virender Sehwag, Brett Lee, Eoin Morgan and Irfan Pathan will be part of the second season of Legends League Cricket.

Earlier over the last few days, iconic players like Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Mitch Johnson, Muralitharan, Monty Panesar, and Shane Watson confirmed their presence in the second edition of Legends League of Cricket.
