Chennai Super Kings have retained Suresh Raina for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. The 34-year-old southpaw has been a true servant of the CSK franchise since the inception of the league. However, Raina withdrew his name from the CSK’s squad in Dream11 IPL 2020. Nevertheless, Raina is all set to make his comeback for CSK as he has been reserved by the Chennai-based side for the upcoming season.
On the other hand, there are reports which suggest Chennai have released players including Kedar Jadhav, Piyush Chawla, and Murli Vijay. The reports further add that overseas players like Faf du Plessis and Dwayne Bravo have been retained by CSK management. Indian ace Harbhajan Singh has cut his ties with the team and Shane Watson has retired from all formats of cricket.
A CSK spokesperson, while talking to ANI, informed that the franchise will consider the faith of Kedar and Chawla before submitting the final list to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at 5 pm on Wednesday.
