Trinbago Knight Riders won the match by 3 wickets and Akeal Hosein was awarded the man of the match award for his amazing four-wicket spell which helped the TKR side to restrict Lucia Kings for a decent total.
After the match when asked about the player’s performance TKR skipper Kieron Pollard stated that “We will take the two points, we want to finish it before the last over but we will take everything into the equation. We haven’t played T20 cricket for a while as a group and are happy to have finished on the winning side. We are playing the CPL now, if these players needed a break before, they should’ve been managed. We have invested a lot in these players as a team and franchise, having said that these are international players, we gave Nicholas a 12-day break to adjust. As a team, we will have to manage them but our main goal is to win the title.”
