New Zealand’s Low Stance

Captain leads the way
Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu lead the innings, as she opened alongside Vishmi Gunaratne. Although Chamari’s teammates were not able to support her on the pitch, she managed to score a staggering 64 runs not out in 48 balls with a strike rate of 133, as she hit 9 boundaries and 2 maximums in her stint.
Chamari’s batting helped Sri Lanka in chasing the target put up by New Zealand in just 14 overs with 7 wickets in hand. Jess Kerr was the best bowler from the New Zealand side, as she managed to amass 2 wickets in 4 overs and gave away 18 runs.
