Trinbago Knight Riders Owns Title Of The Caribbean Premier League 2020

Trinbango Knight Riders won the CPL 2020 trophy:

Captain Kieron Pollard formed magic while Darren Bravo and Lendl Simmons lead the team to an eight-wicket victory of the Caribbean Premier League 2020 title over St Lucia Zouks in the final match, which held on 11th September (Thursday).

TKR chased the target of 155 runs with 11 balls to spare as Bravo scored 58 runs off 47 balls and Simmons made 84 runs off 49 balls included 138 runs for the steady third-wicket stand as the team became the first side in the history of Caribbean Premier League to win all the games in the tournament.

The victory in the final match was attained without one of their important players, Sunil Narine who was not included in the XI because of an injury. In the playing XI, Narine replaced by Sikandar Raza.

Match Description:

 The crucial point of the match was the 17th overs bowled by Zahir Khan, who is an inexperienced left-arm wrist spinner of Afghan delivered 23 runs. When there is a requirement of 41 runs from 24 balls, Simmons hit a six and Bravo hit some big boundaries.

St Lucia Zouks’s extraordinary bowler, Scott Kuggeleijn lost his length when bowling against Simmons, who hit a four and a six to finish the tournament as 16 runs came from the last over.

In total, Simmons (8 boundaries, 4 sixes) and Bravo (six sixes and 2 boundaries), simultaneously hit 10 sixes and 10 boundaries.

Previously, the captain of TKR, Pollard leads his team outstandingly while showing the way with figures of claiming 4 wickets by conceding 30 runs obstructed St Lucia Zouks to 154 runs. Kieron Pollard showed his variations in bowling on a track where the ball gripped and came late.

Andre Fletcher, who scored 39 runs off 27 balls, Mark Deyal, who made 29 runs off 27 balls, and Roston Chase, who made 22 runs off 14 balls got starts.

In six overs only, six wickets fell for 39 runs as the team of Darren Sammy missed out to cross the 175 run-mark.
