In the 1st innings of the 22nd match of the 13th edition of the 2020 IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 201 runs with the loss of 6 wickets. There were actually two phases to the innings of SRH, before Bairstow-Warner and after Bairstow-Warner. First 15 overs, SRH was 160/0, and last 5 overs, SRH scored 41/6.

Kings XI Punjab had lost its opening batsman Mayank Agarwal for only 9 runs after being handed a target of 202 runs from SRH. After smashing 4 runs, Simran Singh dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed, caught by Priyam Garg. Good comeback by Abhishek Sharma as he got the huge wicket of captain KL Rahul, who scored 11 runs in 16 deliveries.
Fastest fifty of IPL 2020 smashed by Nicholas Pooran. Over 10, KXIP was 96/3 in which Nicholas Pooran was batting at 58 runs and Glenn Maxwell at 5 runs.
In the last delivery of 10th over, Maxwell short of his crease and run out by T Natarajan. Brilliant work from youngsters of KXIP. It was the second run out of the innings. Bad luck continued for KXIP as another wicket down in 12th over. Mandeep Singh (6) bowled by Rashid Khan.
After a review, Mujeeb was out by Khaleel Ahmed and SRH wasted a review also. Nicholas Pooran tried very hard to save KXIP but couldn’t save the hopes. After scoring 77 runs in 37 balls, Pooran caught out by Rashid Khan. A double-wicket maiden from spectacular SRH pacer Rashid Khan as in very next ball, he was able to dismiss Mohammad Shami.
Natarajan bowled the perfect yorker and Cottrell bowled !! At the 16.5 overs, Arshdeep Singh drove hard and hit it directly to Warner mid-off. T Natarajan got another wicket of Arshdeep Singh and SRH won by 69 runs!!!!
