Rishabh Pant Reveals Advice From BCCI President Sourav Ganguly

KL Rahul Replaced Rishabh Pant As Keeper In The Team:

India’s Rishabh Pant, a wicketkeeper, has seen a fair share of ups and downs so far in his career. In 2018, when he began a fast fire ton in the 4th round, the left-handed batsman had an excellent tour across Australia.

The youth were not included in the team for the tournament following a series of great results leading up to the World Cup last year. Nonetheless, an injury on Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Shankar led Pant into the squad but could not impact the tournament.

Last year, the young Delhi batsman struggled to get rid of his skills and often faced criticism and KL Rahul replaced him as the keeper for a Limited Over series against New Zealand at the beginning of 2020.

Pant Said That Ponting Has Always Allowed Him To Play His Natural Game:

Given his career story, Pant is still considered to be one of the best-talented players in the world, with many signs that he might one day be a captain for the team. Pant gave him the tips of BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, who was the Delhi Capitals franchise mentor in the 2018 season, on a live Instagram video to Delhi Capitals.

“He said, ‘You have to be able to do whatever you want to do’,” said the 21-year-old. He wanted me to do good always. He said some things to me, and I even tried them. It was helpful, “he added.

The DC coach Ricky Ponting also disclosed how his stay in the franchise influenced him. Pant said he was always allowed to play his natural game by Ponting. “He’s offering me a free hand. He’s asking you to do what you want, “said Pant.
