Shikhar Dhawan Trolls Cheteshwar Pujara After He Says Missing Cricket

A Resilient batting technique and gritty mentality – Cheteshwar Pujara is known for his calmness and grit in the crease. Pujara has been an inevitable part of the Team India Test team for some years. He is known for his patience and incredibly great work, clinging to Christ at crucial times.

However, the outbreak of COVID-19 has stopped all sports, and players have no choice but to spend their quarantine period on social media. Many players are engaged by working with their family or even inside the home. Amid the lockdown, all cricketers, including Cheteshwar Pujara, are losing the experience of bracing the field. The Saurashtra batsman shared a picture on Instagram, reflecting on the matter, where he can found practicing on the nets.

“The thing I miss most on this lockdown is being on the cricket field,” he captioned the photograph. However, Pujara’s Indian team-mate – Shikhar Dhawan – reminds him of another thing he is currently missing in life: the dressing room banter.

“Sachi humein toh pata hi nahi tha ki tu cricket miss kar Raha hai. Wah (Really? We didn’t know you are missing cricket. Wow),” Dhawan commented on Pujara’s picture.

Pujara’s other teammates also had fun at the right-handed batsman. “Yes, we know Pujara,” said Murali Vijay, while Umesh Yadav responded with a laughing emoji.

Pujara played a vital role in Saurashtra’s triumph in Ranji Trophy 2019-20

Pujara’s last tour in Ranji Trophy final, beating Saurashtra Bengal in the final. The right-hander scored 66 in the first innings of the match as Saurashtra lifted the coveted trophy based on Saurashtra’s last innings lead.

Pujara was sent to play for the first six matches of the England County Championship for Gloucestershire. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, professional cricket has been discontinued in England until May 28, and there is little clarity on the start of its resumption. Coronavirus’ defeat also put the T20 World Cup 2020 in jeopardy, as many cricketers suggested the idea of postponing the mega event.
