Reserve Day Rules in case of Rain in Semifinals or Finals of T20 WC: The Semifinals of the T20 World Cup 2022 are, here. In the first semifinal match, we saw Pakistan taking on New Zealand and they won the match single-handedly. Next up we have India playing England in Adelaide.

People are scared about the unpredictable weather conditions in Australia. India had to face major consequences in the previous World Cup 2018. After being in a dominant position on day 1 when the match was washed out. India lost to New Zealand on the reserve day.

So what happens if there is a washout in T20 World Cup 2022 Knockouts?

The Men in Blue, captained by Rohit Sharma, face England in the second knockout game on Thursday at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, while New Zealand faces the defending champions Pakistan on Wednesday (November 09) at the SCG in Sydney (November 10).

Here are the regulations for the reserve day in case the weather again spoils the semifinals and final on November 13 at the MCG in Melbourne. This event has been plagued by rain, with numerous games being called off without a ball being bowled.

Rules for Reserve Day in T20 World Cup 2022

The International Cricket Council (ICC) proposed a reserve day to avoid washouts in the knockout rounds. It should be emphasized that the reserve day will only be used in the following conditions if the match processes are interfered with:

Only if at least 10 overs per side are not feasible on the planned days will the reserve day be used (of the semi-finals and Finals of T20 WC). The game would go to the reserve day if it failed to even create a full 10-over-a-side match. If rain interrupts play after the two teams reach 10-over, the result will be determined using the DLS system, and the match won’t be postponed until the next day.

IND vs ENG: Weather Forecast at Adelaide Oval

In the match IND vs ENG. The day will start off partly overcast and stay mostly cloudy with high teens for temperature. As the conflict intensifies, we anticipate that the humidity will rise.

T20 World Cup Finals: Weather Forecast at MCG

Prior to the T20 World Cup final at the MCG, Melbourne’s issue with cricket has returned. Sunday’s forecast calls for up to 25mm of rain with a potential of thunderstorms.

During the group stage, the Victorian capital saw one rain-affected outcome and three abandonment. The weather is now threatening to scuttle the championship match.

We hope there are no washouts. The rain definitely breaks the momentum of the game and at this crucial stage we don’t rain to play the spoil sport.
