The Clash of Royals may sound like a periodic drama, but nothing compares to the battle between two of the IPL’s best teams in 2022. The Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore will face it out at the Eden Garden for the title of better Royals and to place themselves in the finals. Here in this article, we talk about Clash Of Royals In IPL which is Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Rajasthan has already won a title but it was 14 years ago! Since then a lot has changed in the team. There are original members who have retired from the game or are part of the coaching staff. The franchise has had its fair share of ups and downs since then. They have qualified for playoffs thrice but were also banned for two seasons on corruption charges. This year Rajasthan had a great run. They won 9 of their 14 matches and stood second in the points table. They have a win percentage of 64.3% this IPL which is just second best to their first season in which they won the title. Butler, Samson, Chahal, Ashwin, and Boult make it a strong contender against any team to win the trophy. This brings up the hope as they will play RCB in today’s match who has had a relatively weaker season.

Much to people’s surprise, the Challengers have not won the title even once. Even after having big names in their squad, they failed to pull off the best performance at the right time. The team came close to winning the title thrice in the years 2009, 2011, and 2016 but lost in the finals. It has been some ride for them as well as from finals in 2016, they finished at last position in 2017. After having a couple of more bad seasons, the team has qualified for playoffs in the past two seasons but failed to reach any stage higher and stood at 4th position. This year they have stepped up their game with a new captain and new determination. There is always a ‘feeling’ that maybe this time RCB will win the cup but it gets ‘jinxed’ and ends up in disappointment. RCB will hope their big players, Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Maxwell, and Harshal Patel go into beast mode and perform their best if they wish to beat RR who is a great opponent.

Both the teams are recovering from weaker years and will hope they have a good game today. Gujarat Titans are already waiting for them in Ahmedabad for the finals they are a tough team to beat in the finals. A good momentum from this game will help the winner to perform better in the ‘endgame’ and we fans will look forward to a close contest. All the best to both the Royals, the team that will play a comprehensive game shall win. 😀
