Playing Ludo Online Helping Indian Women Cricket Team In Bonding: Smriti Mandhana

How Indian Women Cricket Team Are Bonding Together During Lockdown:

Star opener Smriti Mandhana revealed on Monday that the Indian women’s cricket team traded the bat and ball for dice as players maintain their bond by playing ludo online in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic together.

All cricketing events worldwide have either been suspended or postponed as the coronavirus outbreak has wreaked havoc with the sports calendar. On Monday, the BCCI tweeted a video of Mandhana on how she’s spending time off the field.

“We, all friends, play ludo online together, so it keeps all of us bonded all the teammates,” Mandhana said. Like all other athletes, the ace batter has turned to home workouts in order to remain physically fit.”It is very important to stay fit so I work out.

I stay in touch with the trainer and get guidance. He continues to send us all of the workouts we need to follow, “Mandhana said. The 23-year-old spends time with her family, trying her hand at cooking and assisting in other household chores.

“I do like to spend time with my family, We play cards, I continue to help mom with the cooking, I suppose it’s been part of my everyday routine to wash utensils and I like to trouble my brother too, It’s my favorite pass time, “said the opener for India.

“The third thing I love is to watch movies, I’m a big movie buff, So, I make sure I watch two-three movies a week, not a lot because I don’t want to get addicted. I want to spend time with my family”. The world number four ODI batsman, however, admitted that she enjoys sleeping the most.

“The best thing that I love to do at home is sleep. I make sure I have at least 10 hours of sleep to keep myself happy all day, “she added.

Mandhana also advised people during the lockdown to maintain social distancing and remain indoors.

“Stay home, stay safe and remain physically and mentally fit.” The coronavirus pandemic has infected over 1.8 million people worldwide and resulted in more than 1,14,000 deaths. Since March 25, India has been in lockdown, a measure taken to avoid the spread of the contagion.
