He is England’s greatest white ball player. Jos Buttler was integral to England’s white-ball cricket revolution. He played a key role in their maiden ODI World Cup win in 2019. Buttler has won 12 POTMs in 159 games so far.

#8 Kane Williamson – 13

He is one of New Zealand’s finest ODI players. Kane Williamson’s biggest strength in ODIs remains his adaptability. New Zealand great has won the award 13 times in 161 games so far. He will be key to their plans in the upcoming ODI World Cup in 2023.

India’s ODI captain Rohit Sharma is among the best ODI batsmen of all time. He is the only batter to score 3 double-centuries so far. Sharma has records galore to his name in ODIs. He has won the award 21 times in 241 ODIs so far. 

#3 Martin Guptill – 22

He might be on the final lap of his career but Martin Guptill continues to be a wonderful servant for New Zealand. The opening batter has won the award 22 times in 198 ODIs over a career that started in 2009.

#2 Shakib Al Hasan – 24

He is the finest all-rounder in the modern game. Shakib Al Hasan is among the top players on every list. He has won the award 24 times in 224 ODIs for his all-round capabilities. Hasan is second among the active ones to win the POTM awards.

#1 Virat Kohli – 38

There is little doubt that Virat Kohli will finish as one of the greatest in the format. The former Indian skipper has won the award 38 times in 271 ODIs at a rate of 7.13 award/ODI. There are very few records in ODIs that don’t belong to Kohli.
