Numerous future plans have emerged after Australian cricketer David Warner stated that he intended to play for the next year before deciding whether or not to retire from international competition. Warner, however, appears intrigued in commentary as a potential future goal. But the OTT provider Netflix has come up with a fairly entertaining one for the left-handed swashbuckling batting, though.

Netflix India’s official Twitter handle responded to a tweet regarding Warner’s part-time commentary role with Fox Sports., “If David Warner retires from cricket, it’s only apt that he begins starring in Telugu movies.”

The 33-year-old cricketer has been quite well-known in Telugu circles as well when he started making Tik Tok movies about Telugu artists. He has already acknowledged how much he admires Mahesh Babu, the superstar. Notably, Warner also made a Tik Tok video based on the well-known Mahesh Babu line from the movie Pokiri.

He was seen enjoying Telugu movie song in some of his reels along with his wife and daughters, enough to justify his love for the Telugu cinema.

David Warner recently made the comment that he might stop playing Test cricket after next year, although he might still play white-ball cricket.

“Test cricket will probably be the first one to fall off. Potentially it could be my last 12 months in Test cricket,”

Warner, however, made it clear that he hopes to take part in both the forthcoming 50-over World Cup, which will be played in India in October and November of this year, as well as the upcoming T20 World Cup, which will be played in the Caribbean and the United States in 2024.

“”T20 cricket – I love the game. I will be looking to get to 2024,” he said, adding that he loves the white ball game.

The Southpaw has played 101 Test matches since making his debut in 2011. And has amassed 8182 runs at an average of 46.52 with 25 hundreds and 34 fifties.

He has also played 141 ODIs (6007 runs at 45.16 average) and 99 T20Is (2894 runs at 32.88 average).

David Warner to lead Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023

Warner, is a popular cricketer in India, thanks to his extraordinary batting skills and mostly for his heroics in IPL.
