IND vs USA Highlights T20 World Cup 2024

IND vs USA Highlights: India recorded a comprehensive win over the United States of America on Wednesday to become the first team from Group A to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024 super eight stage.

Arshdeep stunned the USA with his unplayable deliveries and grabbed 4 wickets to hand India an edge in the T20 World Cup clash. The left-armer gave only 9 runs in his 4-over spell and played a big role in restricting the USA to 110 runs.

India, in reply, chased down the target in 18.2 overs with 7 wickets in hand to secure their third straight win in the marquee event.

IND vs USA Highlights

Invited to bat first, Arshdeep made Rohit’s decision right by taking a wicket in the very first ball and became the first Indian to claim a wicket in the first ball of the game in T20 World Cup’s history.

The swinging bowler did not stop there and dismissed the in-form Andries Gous for 2 in the sixth ball of the first over.

Steven Taylor (24) and Nitish Kumar (27) tried to rescue the side but failed to convert their start to big knocks as the USA only managed to post 110 runs at Nassau County.

Arshdeep bagged four wickets for India, while Hardik Pandya also took 2, and Axar Patel one.

India to chase 111 in 20 overs

India faced a shocking start as they lost the wicket of Virat Kohli on the first ball of Indian innings. It was a dream come true moment for Saurabh Netravalkar, who once played for India in the U-19 World Cup 2010, now playing for USA.

Netravalkar then dismissed Indian captain on the last ball of the first over to put India under pressure.

Rishabh Pant was looking in good touch before Ali Khan sent him back to pavilion for 18.

However, Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube soaked the whole pressure and went to add 72 runs for the fourth wicket. Yadav remained the aggressor in the chase and struck 50* off 49. While Dube also remained not out in the process at 31.
