Kevin Pietersen After Michael Vaughan’s ‘Jealousy’ Comment

Kevin Pietersen is one of the best players England has ever produced. But his career was controversial and ended that way. The reason for which he parted from his teammates and the ECB was his decision of playing for the Indian Premier League. The idea of Peterson playing in a cash-strapped league is not liked by many.

Instead, Michael Vaughan, Graeme Swann, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Tim Bresnan, and Matt Pryor have revealed that they were jealous of getting a big contract in the IPL. According to the former England captain, these players thought that his time-old swashbuckling batsman was playing in the IPL for money, but Peterson said he wanted to develop his white-ball game.

Although Vaughan spoke in favor of him during his interactions, Kevin Pietersen was unhappy that he was still talking about these things. A bizarre fall between the team and him, the star player’s international career came to an abrupt end. Peterson doesn’t want to discuss it anymore.

We’ve moved on, says Kevin Pietersen

Instead, he played in T20 leagues around the world and took up commentary after retiring from all formats of the game. 39-year-old overcomes the sayings of Michael Vaughan commenting regarding the jealousy in the England squad due to his IPL contract and was livid with it.

He reminded everyone that there are so many good things to talk about his career and that both parties (ECB and him) have moved ahead. Kevin Pietersen believes the world needs positivity at the moment because of the ongoing pandemic, and those good things should come out of it.

“Staggering! Still headlines, these stories! May I humbly request that this ISN’T never talk about it again! We should all go ahead and talk about more beautiful things in my career! We are living in a broken world right now! He tweeted, quoting a tweet highlighting his story.
