India Kept Their Unbeaten Record Against Pakistan: Abdul Razzaq

Abdul Razzaq Explains Why India Dominates Pakistan In World Cups

Abdul Razzaq, the former all-rounder of Pakistan was a part of the legendary cricket team who was a part of the world cup winning side.  Not only this, but he was also the side of the strong team which once upon a time dominated the Indian side.

Pakistan became a world champion in 1992 and reached the finals in 1999. But both in the group phase and super six stages, it lost to arch competitors. The quarter-finals of 1996 were Pakistan knocked out by India when the two nations co-hosted a tournament with Sri Lanka.

India Now Have A Far Superior Team:

And in the next century, the pattern has continued. India now has an outstanding squad, and over the past two decades, the lion has also enjoyed the success of ODIs. In the showcase, they have maintained their unbeaten record against Pakistan, and Razzaq believes it will continue to do so in the future.

Razzaq, who played in three Indo-Pak World Cup matches (1999, 2003, 2011), said, “India will continue to maintain this record,” in an interview with the media.

“India and Pakistan are rare to compete at ICC events in knockout matches. Mostly in the League, they play, and India is a favorite. Our teams can not handle the pressure that comes with this game.

“In Sharjah, we’ve had a lot of wins over India and defeated them twice in Canada. I remember the 1999 World Cup, people, and the press put the player’s pressure on, and we wilted before the game. Unfortunately, it stayed like that.

“Thanks to the players, the game is like any other match. The players don’t feel confident of defeating India in the 2011 World Cup, “added Razzaq, adding that Pakistan had the best opportunity to beat India in 2011.

In the 2019 ICC World Cup, India annihilated Pakistan, with a 7-0 lead over the fierce competitors in the ICC World Cup.
