Had To Score T20I Double Hundred Against Sri Lanka : Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma Shares His Memories Of Playing Against Sri Lanka:

India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma said he had a chance to score the first-ever double-century T20I during Indore’s 2017 match against Sri Lanka. Rohit, who equaled the fastest T20I hundred-record in the game (35 balls), was dismissed on 118 off just 43 deliveries. When he was dismissed, seven overs remained in the innings.

In the live interaction that was organized by the IPL champions, a fan reminded Rohit of the knock. “In that game, I had a good chance to maybe make 200 also. When I got out there were still more than 9 overs (seven) left. So it was a good chance but fine, 35-ball 100 — I will take that,” said the MI captain.

Rohit also answered multiple fan questions about non-cricket. He said it was his wife Ritika Sajdeh who more than remembered important dates and admitted he liked Maths a lot during his school days.

“I used to love doing mathematics — addition, subtraction. I used to love geometry and algebra as well. While it was really difficult I used to love theorems and all that,” he said.
Rohit Sharma is the sole cricketer to have scored more than one double-century in the fifty-over format. He has achieved the feat thrice – twice against Sri Lanka, and one double-ton against Australia.

In addition, the Indian opener holds the record for the highest individual score in ODIs-264.

Corona Scare Continues To Haunt Cricket Fraternity:

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the complete cricket world has come to a standstill. The cricket boards across the globe canceled domestic, national, and international cricket leagues. This came in after health bodies issued advisory that mass gatherings trigger coronavirus infection. Not only this, but the 13th edition of IPL 2020 was also postponed, now the BCCI is looking for the October November window to conduct the tournament. In a recent media interaction, BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly said if at all the tournament takes place it would be a truncated affair.
