Chris Gayle’s funny Reaction: During the mini IPL auction on Friday, Nicholas Pooran, a former player for Sunrisers Hyderabad, was sold to Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 16 crore. After a heated negotiation with Delhi Capitals, Lucknow was able to secure the famed West Indies star for a basic price of Rs 2 crore.
Rajasthan Royals joined Chennai Super Kings in the initial bid, which was launched at 2 crores. The Delhi Capitals joined the match and took it deep just as RR grabbed control of it. Gayle made a funny remark about Pooran’s auction price when the Lucknow Super Giants selected him for Rs. 16 crore. Gayle advised Pooran to pay back the money he borrowed from him in the past since he had received so much money from the IPL auction.
