Chennai Super Kings Posts A Message For Their Captain

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was scheduled to face the reigning Mumbai Indians champions at the IPL 2020 tournament opener at the Wankhede Stadium on March 29, but the 13th edition of the IPL is tentatively postponed to April 15 due to the deadly COVID-19 that had a major impact worldwide.

The CSK players had left their practice sessions like skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina and returned home. Now it seems the Chennai franchise is missing it’s Captain.

The three-time IPL winners took to the micro-blogging site and posted a picture of their ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni, who was seen mowing the lawn at his house. CSK has told Dhoni they didn’t see him for a long time.

Meanwhile, for the first time since Team India’s crushing semi-final defeat at the 2019 World Cup in the hands of New Zealand in July last year, the 2011 World Cup-winning captain will be seen in action on the cricket field.

The veteran wicket-keeper-batsman has not been wearing the Indian jersey since that match and has been on a game sabbatical since. If the IPL 2020 takes place, Mahi will seek to lead the Yellow Army to its fourth championship.
