Bharat Arun, the Indian cricket team’s bowling coach, thinks the national players require six to eight weeks of training before they can move into international cricket. “It can be tough for a professional cricketer to be stuck at home doing nothing. Not being able to extend energy is like a curse. It can be dull, and it can be highly monotonous. But there’s no alternative, and hence it’s a problem that needs to be tackled, “Arun said in an interview.
“The team’s ownership has recognized that cricketers need six to eight weeks of camp to do this high-level training and optimum skill-based program before they get out to play international cricket,” he said.
Arun also said that Indian speedster Mohammed Shami has been in regular contact with him over the last few days. The Bengal bowler is a part of Team India in all 3 formats.
