“We have officially intimated the ICC that the T20 World Cup can be shifted to the United Arab Emirates. The details are being chalked out,” Ganguly was quoted as saying in an Interview.

Furthermore, the main event’s dates were announced a few days ago. The T20 World Cup will start off on October 17 and go until November 15. Moreover, despite the fact that the competition will be held in the UAE, BCCI will keep the hosting rights.

In terms of the T20 WC format, the first round will include 8 teams

The tournament’s schedule has yet to be announced, and the dates have yet to be formally revealed. With the IPL 2021 set to take place from September 19 to October 15, the opening round of matches might take place in Oman. In terms of the T20 WC format, the first round will include eight teams: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Scotland, Namibia, Ireland, Netherlands, Oman, and Papua New Guinea.

Four of these teams will compete in the Super 12 round, which will begin on October 24. For this round, the teams will be divided into two groups of six. The big event will be placed in three locations: Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi.
