Virender Sehwag Picks ‘Ramayan’ Character He Inspired From

Virender Sehwag Tweeted  A Scene From The Historic ‘Ramayan’ TV Show:

The former outstanding opener of India Virender Sehwag took his twitter handle and revealed that who is the real inspiration behind his terrific batting.

But in this case, if you are guessing the names of swashbuckling batsmen such as Viv Richards, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar or any other batsmen, then you are totally wrong.

Virender Sehwag tweeted a picture of a scene from the most renowned mythological serial  ‘ Ramayan’ TV show, which is being aired in Doordarshan amid this lockdown period of coronavirus.

In his tweet, he wrote, “ Here is the person from where I have got my batting inspiration.” The scene of the picture is from the court of Ravan, where the son of Bali, Angad, a Vanara Sena member- is standing as strong as all the generals of Ravan try to move his feet as part of a challenge.

Sehwag added “Pair hilana mushkil hi nahi , namumkin hai (just moving his foot is not only a difficult task, but also it is impossible)”, taking this iconic line from the famous Hindi Movie ‘Don’. He ended with “#Angad Ji Rocks,”

This Ramayan scene takes place when Prabhu Sree Ram sends Angad as his messenger with the offering of peace. Angad tells the king of Lanka, Ravan that Ram will leave Lanka peacefully if he returns Mata Sita unharmed and confessing his mistake.

But Ravan mocks his peace offer and insults Purusottam Ram. Angad then places his foot in the courtroom of Ravan and says that in case anyone of the warriors of Ravan moves his foot, he would take the whole army back from Lanka on behalf of Ram.

But none of the warriors of the Ravan’s army including the most powerful son of Ravan, Indrajit can’t move his foot.

In this nationwide lockdown to fight against the novel coronavirus, Doordarshan is airing popular shows like Ramayan and Mahabharat to entertain its audience.
