The Hundred 2023: 4 Indian Players To Take Part In The Women’s Tournament

The Women’s Hundred tournament is about to start on 1st August 2023. This will be the third edition of this tournament.

In the third edition of the hundred, teams with names like Trent Rockets, Southern Brave, Welsh Fire, Manchester Originals, London Spirit, Oval Invincibles, Northern Supercharger, and Birmingham Phoenix will compete.

The Trent Rockets will be coached by Nat Sciver Brunt. Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian skipper, would play for Trent Rockets. Smriti Mandhana, the opener from India, will also play for the Southern Brave.

Performance of 4 Indian players in Hundred History:

Smriti Mandhana:

Mandhana had a decent run scores in the 1st edition of the Hundred competition. She knocked 167 runs from 7 matches ( 7 innings) with 2 half-centuries to her name and best score of 78.

The left hand batter Smriti Mandhana had a decent run during the 2022 Hundred competition. She played for Southern Brave and scored a total of 211 runs from 8 matches ( 8 innings) with the best score of an unbeaten 57.

Jemimah Rodrigues

Jemimah Rodrigues played only 2 matches in the 2022 edition of the Hundred competition. She scored her best score of 51.

Harmanpreet Kaur

The Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur will be seen in the 3rd edition of the in the Hundred tournament. She was a part of the Manchester Originals side during the 2021 edition of this new format.

During the inaugural edition of Hundred, she played 3 matches and scored 104 runs before deciding to withdraw from the tournament due to an injury.

Richa Ghosh

The hard-hitting wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh will play for the London Spirit side in the 3rd edition of the Hundred League. She will replace Georgia Redymane.

It will be a massive opportunity for the wicketkeeper batter to play with the best. She played for Hobart Hurricanes in the 2021-22 WBL season.

The final match will be played a 27 the August, 2023 at 10:30 PM for the title clash in the 3rd edition for Hundred league 2023.
