The former South African cricketer played for almost four franchises in the IPL since inception, But he came out more successful when played for CSK.  He played for CSK from 2008 to 2013. In this  tenure Morkel played 92 games and gave it a peak and took a total of 91 wickets. CSK then bought  Morkel’s services with 2.7 Cr. INR, against the base price of 90 lakhs.

The 30 year old young pacer for CSK has been showing his prowess in almost in every game of CSK in the IPL.
