The whole number is 2.43 times or 143 percent greater in INR value than the previous IPL rights sale, which was for INR 16,347.5 crore ($2.55 billion at the time). The increase is exactly twofold, or 100 percent, in US dollars.

The IPL’s first-ever media rights e-auction commenced on June 12. The procedure was expected to take some time, and the identities of the winning bidders were not expected to be published for several days. However, it appears that things will be much clearer by June 14th, the third day.
