According to Current updates, Saudi Arabia has indicated interest in purchasing a multibillion-dollar share in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the world’s biggest cricket league.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s advisers have met with Indian government authorities about incorporating the IPL into a holding company worth up to $30 billion.

The conversations took place when the crown prince visited India in September,  and the kingdom suggested investing up to $5 billion in the league and leading its expansion into additional countries.

The IPL Owners, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), did not immediately respond on this  conversation.

The IPL is one of the richest tournaments in the world, and it has drawn top players and coaches to India since its inception in 2008.
