On Wednesday, BCCI announced that Rohit Sharma is the new Indian ODI captain via a Tweet. The following tweet read “The All-India Senior Selection Committee also decided to name Mr. Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI & T20I teams going forward”. Virat scored a total of 5,449 runs in an average of 72.65 in the role of India’s ODI skipper.
