Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian teammate of Rohit, also wished him in style. Gambhir, who values Rohit very highly, has declared him the world’s greatest white-ball cricketer.

Rohit’s rise in ODIs as an opener par excellence coincided with Gambhir’s decline in career. Gambhir and Virender Sehwag’s old guard has lost their Team India spots. Now the players Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have taken over and are still going high.
