Ranji Trophy 2022: Prasidh Krishna to miss Karnataka’s Ranji Quarter-final

The speedster Prasidh Krishna is all set to miss the biggest platform in Indian domestic cricket, the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals starting June 6 due to obvious workload reasons.

Krishna, who impressed everyone with his impeccable bowling technique is preparing to go to England for the rescheduled Edgbaston test, the reason behind his unavailability for Ranji Trophy.

Karnataka has picked an otherwise full-strength squad, with opener Mayank Agarwal returning to the stateside for the first time since his debut series in December 2018, after being left out of India’s Test selection for the first time.

Devdutt Padikkal and Karun Nair will also be a part of Karnataka team. While Manish Pandey will lead the side. However, KL Rahul also not part of the squad as he is appointed as T20 captain of team India for the South Africa series starting June 9.

Ronit More, V Koushik, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Vidwath Kaverappa and M Venkatesh will lead the fast bowling challenge in the squad, with Ronit More being the most experienced campaigner as he has played 31 games. While the others have experience of playing 5 games each.

Team Karnataka have a great spin talent as well in their squad with the likes of Shreyas Gopal and all-rounders K Gowtham and J Suchith.

Karnataka to face Uttar Pradesh in Alur from June 6.
