Agarwal, who has cemented his place in the Indian Test team, seems to love spending time at home in self-isolation. The 29-year-old opener is living his hobby to the fullest with plenty of free time on his lap, experimenting with various dishes.
On Wednesday, the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) posted a video where “butter garlic mushroom with bell peppers and quinoa” can be seen cooking. “Meet Chef Mayank Agarwal. What is opening batsman @mayankcricket up at home? Culinary skills put to the test, Mayank is preparing an amazing recipe,” tweeted BCCI, sharing the video.
Mayank Agarwal made his Test debut in the December 2018 Boxing Day Test at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and had an immediate impact, scoring 76 and 42 in the first two innings. He never looked back after that and has since gone on to become one of the Research team’s core leaders.
As an international cricketer with consistent big scores, he followed up his promising start into his first full season. When set, Agarwal is renowned for scoring big hundreds, and last year when he finished scoring two double centuries, one against South Africa and Bangladesh, it was clear.
