The IPL 2021 season ended in disappointment for the Mumbai Indians, as the five-time champions were unable to reach to the season’s playoffs. The IPL 2022 will be proceeded by a big auction, in which the franchises will be drastically reshuffled. Captain Rohit Sharma has stated that he would want to have the same group for every match for Mumbai, but this is not currently possible. Here is all about Rohit Sharma On Retaining MI Players Ahead Of IPL 2022.
Sharma went on to say that they would not have the same lineup till a miracle occurs. MI has had a lot of success with their current lineup throughout the years, and they have 5 trophies to show for it. They have the potential to be one of the world’s most successful franchises.
“All these players are not just made in one or two days… Its a lot of hard work that they have put in.” 💥

“We won’t have the same squad unless some miracle happens. It will be hard not to have all of them as part of the same group next year. But, hopefully, we can get the same core group of players and create a magical couple of years,” said Rohit Sharma.
The credit has to go to the scouts: Rohit Sharma
Sharma had particular words of appreciation for their talent scout, who played an important role during their last mega auction and selected some of the star players. He went on to say that they do an excellent job of monitoring all domestic games and providing input to management. Sharma further praised the framework that these players have created for themselves in order to generate the best.
“The credit has to go to the scouts. Who just go day in and day out and watch all the domestic games. And give us feedback as to what individuals are doing. These players are not made over one or two games or one or two seasons. It’s a lot of hard work over the years that they have put in to make sure that they get the environment they want, to go out there and do the best they can,” he added.
