Virat Kohli Hilariously Imitates Shikhar Dhawan’s Batting Stance

Virat Kohli has the potential to fascinate those observing him in a lot of formats. The Indian captain is well-known for his on-field heroics, but he has demonstrated several times that he is equally entertaining off the field. He shared a funny video on his own Twitter, emulating his India teammate Shikhar Dhawan’s batting stance, showcasing one of his numerous abilities. Here is how Kohli Hilariously Imitates Dhawan.

“Hi, this is Virat Kohli and I’m going to mimic Shikhar Dhawan because I feel he is lost in his space so much, it’s very funny and I have seen it many times from the other end,” Kohli said. Kohli begins by folding his sleeves in the way of Shikhar Dhawan before replicating his mannerisms in his posture before and after leaving a ball.

Dhawan was last seen in the IPL for the Delhi Capitals, wherein he scored 587 runs in 16 games and helped his side finish in first place. Unfortunately, the Capitals were unable to advance to the final after failing in both qualifiers. In comparison, Kohli guided RCB to the playoffs after placing 3rd in the league stage. But, the team’s Eliminator setback against the KKR concluded his IPL leadership without a title.

The 33-year-old revealed earlier this month that the 2021 edition will be his final as RCB captain, a decision he took barely a week after announcing that he will step down as India’s T20I captain following the end of the T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman this year.

Shikhar is a very important player for us: Chetan Sharma

Although an excellent record in ICC tournaments, Dhawan is not part of the Indian lineup for the mega event. The BCCI office-bearers have stated that he was sidelined for the competition, despite the fact that he is still considered as a “key player.”

“Shikhar is a very important player for us. Can’t disclose the discussion. He is in the loop. We thought the need of the hour was to look at others and rest him,” Team India chief selector Chetan Sharma had said during a virtual press meet on the day of India’s squad announcement.

In his unavailability, one among KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, and Kohli has been the most certain option to begin the innings with Rohit Sharma. India’s Super12 campaign will kick off on 24th October versus Pakistan.
