Ishan Kishan Hits Big On Debut, Virat Kohli Shines And Shatters 5 Records

Young India batsman Ishan Kishan made a dream debut in international cricket as he smashed a quickfire fifty against England and inspired Team India to a series-levelling win in the second T20I on Sunday (March 14) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Ishan Kishan Had His Dream Debut After Scoring Quick Fire Fifty

Special occasion for both Mumbai Indians lad. For, while the 30-year-old Suryakumar Yadav had endured a longer than usual wait for his first international cap, the 22-year-old Kishan too had undergone a tumultuous journey, seemingly losing his way before finding his feet at IPL 2020. At that tournament, Yadav and Kishan had together won the title for MI.

That step soon turned into a big stride as Kishan completed his half-century in just 28 balls, with two back-to-back sixes. However, the left-hander didn’t realize that he had reached the milestone; it was only after skipper Virat Kohli, who was batting alongside him, told him about it. Kishan said that he does not usually raise his bat after a half-century, and barely does it even after reaching three figures. Virat Kohli later came into action and finished off the game. He managed to break 5 records yesterday.
