IPL 2021 Phase 2 Schedule News – BCCI releases a press note

They have officially released a press note stating, ” The Board of Control for Cricket(BCCI) on Saturday announced to complete the remaining matches of VIVO Indian Premier League 2021 season in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) considering the monsoon season in India in the months of September-October this year.”

The Board added, “The decision was taken at a Special General Meeting (SGM) held virtually, where members unanimously agreed to resume IPL. The BCCI SGM further authorised the Office Bearers to seek an extension of time from the ICC to take an appropriate call on the hosting of ICC T20 World Cup 2021.”

Suspension of IPL 2021 and further measures:

Vivo IPL 2021 was suspended after 29 games when covid entered the bio-bubble. It is all set to restart after the England test series in September-October. There are many questions raised regarding the T20 World Cup. Whether it will happen in India or not is something to which no one has an answer yet. The BCCI is yet to give complete clarity on the mega event.  BCCI will communicate its decision to the ICC ahead of its Board meeting on June 1.
