India vs England Highlights, 5th Test Day 3:India defeat England by an innings and 64 runs, clinching the series 4-1.

Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma both scored centuries, while Ravichandran Ashwin took five wickets as India defeated England by an innings and 64 runs in the fifth Test in Dharamsala. After dismissing England for 218, India scored 477 to take a 259-run lead.

England were swept out for 195 after Ashwin claimed five wickets. Apart from him, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each. For England, Joe Root scored 84 runs and Jonny Bairstow 39. Earlier, India’s Gill and Rohit scored 110 and 103 runs, respectively, while England’s Shoaib Bashir took five wickets. With this win, India finished the five-match series against England with a 4-1 score.

Ravichandran Ashwin took nine wickets as India beat England by an innings and 64 runs in the fifth and final Test in Dharamsala on Saturday.

With the win, India claimed the series 4-1.

Ashwin made his 100th Test a memorable one, taking five wickets in the second innings to go with four in the first.

England’s hitters once again struggled, being bowled out for 218 and 195 in their two innings, while India hammered 477 on the same track.

Openers Rohit Sharma (103) and Shubman Gill (110) both struck century, while debutants Devdutt Padikkal (65), Yashasvi Jaiswal (57), and Sarfaraz Khan (56) each reached fifty.

Perhaps the only silver lining to England’s poor performance was experienced seamer James Anderson’s 700th wicket this morning.
