Highlights of Day 2 of the 5th Test match between IND vs ENG, which is being played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, may be found here.

IND vs ENG 5th Test Day 2 Highlights: Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill ignited the pitch with their blazing centuries, sending shockwaves through the stadium. Their impeccable partnership set ablaze the first session, leaving the English side awe-struck. Meanwhile, the debutant, Devdutt Padikkal, showcased maturity as he effortlessly scored up a maiden test half-century.

However, his tendency to linger on deliveries that weren’t quite short proved to be his undoing as he was dismissed was 65.

But just when England seemed to be gaining momentum, Sarfaraz Khan emerged from the shadows, unleashing a ferocious assault on the opposition bowling attack. His onslaught, reminiscent of his typical aggressive style, rattled the English camp. He scored 56 in 60 balls. 

Yet, England mounted a spirited fightback, claiming four crucial wickets for a mere 25 runs. However, the resilient duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah thwarted their efforts, frustrating the English bowlers to no end. Together, they steered India’s lead past the formidable 250 mark, leaving the English side in disarray.

English Bowling Attack with a Rollercoaster Day 2 against Indian Batters

On the second day, English bowlers emerged with enthusiasm to come back into the game. Where it all started when skipper Stokes delivered a dream ball, reminiscent of his Ashes brilliance, sending Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion. Rohit then was on 103 in 162 balls. 

Anderson after Gill’s wicket is one wicket away from a monumental 700-wicket milestone. However, it was Bashir who stole the limelight, clinching four crucial wickets with finesse. As the day progressed, Hartley found his rhythm too, contributing to the English bowling attack.

Rohit Sharma yet again scored a brilliant composed century where he played some mind bowling shots. Rohit scored his second century of this series. Rohit Sharma also completed 400 runs in this Test series, showing how he leading this young Indian team towards victory.

While Shubman Gill on the other hand did not hold back after missing out on century in the last test match. Gill scored his 11th International century. This was also his fourth test century for India. 

What’s at Stake on Day 3 in the 5th Test between IND vs ENG

On the third day of this fifth and final test match, India is expected to extend their advantage of 255 runs thanks to Kuldeep Yadav on 27 and Jasprit Bumrah on 19. Indian players, who have a 255-run lead and the advantage to win this test match at the end of day two stumps, will be resting easy tonight.
