After winning the toss, West Indies elected to field. India made a few unpredictable changes by bringing Kuldeep in place of Chahal and Shami in place of Jadeja. And the Windies played with their unchanged squad.
Both the Indian openers opened the Indian innings on a high. After the power play, openers were on a six-hitting spree. There was a slight injury concern for India as Rohit dived and seemed to have hurt his shoulder.
But nothing stopped him from scoring his fifty, after power-hitting from HitMan, Williams caught him. Rohit departed for 71. Then Pant faced a short horror time and was dismissed for a golden duck by the Windies skipper Pollard.
Then the Indian Skipper Virat Kohli stepped in and was involved in a fruitful partnership with the opener KL Rahul.
Rahul missed his century on the big stage but India posted a challenging total of 241 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Can the unpredictable Windies, can they chase such a huge total ?
Let’s wait and watch.
