IND vs SL 1st T20I 10 overs update

Sri Lanka took advantage of the opportunity to win the toss and chose to field first, dismissing three of India’s most reliable batters at the halfway stage of the 1st innings.

Hardik Pandya alongside Ishan Kishan, however, managed to steady India’s ship with a decent partnership.

At the end of 10 overs of the 1st T20I match of the India versus Sri Lanka series, team India total is 75. In the last 5 overs, team India managed to score 35 runs by losing 2 wickets.

During the Power Play overs, Indian batters not utilized the opportunity, conceding just 41 runs and lost 2 wickets in the process. The power play restrictions didn’t help the team to add runs on the scoreboard.

India lost the track after smashing first 2 overs

However, India started the game well with 26 for no loss after the first 2 overs, but Maheesh Theekshana bowled a tough 3rd over of the innings where the Indian batters only managed to score 3 runs and lost their first wicket in the form of Shubman Gill.

Gill was out for 7, while the no.1 T20I batter in the world, Suryakumar Yadav failed to show his magic and walked back early to the pavilion too.

Dhananjaya de Silva bowled the 7th over of the innings and kept things tight, conceding just 6 runs from the over and took a wicket of Sanju Samson. The 8th over of the innings was bowled by Chamika Karunaratne who failed to continue the momentum, leaking 11 runs from the over.

6 runs came off the 9th over of the innings bowled by Wanindu Hasaranga where he kept things tight. Rajitha bowled the 10th over of the innings, conceding 11 runs from the over.

The run rate at the end of 10th over is 7.5. The projected score at this rate at the end of innings would be 150 runs. Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya are at the crease now.
