Melbourne Renegades vs Melbourne Stars highlights: Melbourne Stars to chase 142 in 20 overs

Stars were happy after restricting the opponents under 150, but their happiness didn’t last for long, as Renegades bowlers walked inside the crease with different mindset and started to dominate the game from the very first ball.

Tom Rogers clean bowled the in-form Joe Clarke on the first ball, and then removed Beau Webster and Thomas Rogers in the second over to break the back of Stars.

With all eyes were on all-rounder Marcus Stoinis to help his side, but he failed to deliver.

Stars lost their 4 main batters inside 20. Hilton Cartwright and Nick Larkin then made sure to push their scorecard ahead.

The partnership was looking good, but Rogers again vanished their hopes by removing Cartwright.

Larkin, remained their at one end, with wickets were falling down from the other.

Adam Zampa Mankad incident

On Tuesday evening, Adam Zampa’s failed Mankad effort injected some drama to the Big Bash Melbourne Derby.

The Melbourne Stars captain thought the Renegades batsman had backed up too far and attempted to run out Tom Rogers at the nonstrikers end while bowling the final over of the inning.

As boos echoed throughout the MCG and several fans in the crowd were perplexed, Rogers was startled by Zampa’s attempt to run out, and the two exchanged a few choice words.

The third umpire received the run-out attempt and ruled that it was not successful because Zampa’s bowling arm had moved “beyond the vertical” or too far into his bowling motion.
