IPL 2021: SRH Captain David Warner Provides Update On T Natarajan’s Injury

On Wednesday, Indian pacer T Natarajan missed his second game in a row as Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Punjab Kings to register their much needed first IPL 2021 win. Siddharth Kaul replaced Natarajan in SRH’s playing XI. T Natarajan has been struggling with a niggle in his left knee and first missed the Mumbai Indians clash on April 17.
T Natarajan had a breakthrough season with SRH last year and his impressive death bowling is the key to SRH. He picked up 16 wickets at an economy of 8.02 in 2020. SRH will be devastated with their players getting injured as Bhuvneshwar Kumar also walked off the pitch against Punjab Kings. The fast bowler bowled just three overs against the Punjab Kings before going off the field with an apparent thigh strain. The franchise is yet to give an update on Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s fitness.

David Warner Unsure About When Will See The T Natarajan Back In Action

“He (T Natarajan) has obviously got a sore knee. Given the circumstance in these bubbles, if he goes and gets a scan, he obviously has to sit out for seven days. He has to get back in quarantine,” David Warner said on Wednesday.
“We are just monitoring him at the moment. The physios are doing their best to analyse from a face point of view but he obviously has to go out and get a scan at some point,” he added.
Warner looked happy and satisfied with SRH’s first victory of the season. David Warner is happy with  20-year-old spinner Abhishek Sharma who returned with figures of 2/24 and was trusted to open the bowling.
“I am really pleased we got across the line. He (Abhishek Sharma) is a young guy coming through and he’s exciting. We asked him to work on his bowling a lot more during the series this year and he did that. He added.
SRH got their maiden win against Punjab Kings as they chased a total of 120 runs comfortably. Kane Williamson is back into the squad and this is the boost in the middle order for David Warner’s side. SRH will face Delhi Capitals next Sunday at Chidambaram Stadium.
