Happy Birthday Kamlesh Nagarkoti: Kamlesh Lachham Nagarkoti, better known by his stage as Kamlesh Nagarkoti, was born on On December 28, 1999. Surendra Singh Rathod was the childhood coach of Nagarkoti.

On February 26, 2017, he made his List A debut for Rajasthan in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He achieved the first-ever hat-trick for Rajasthan in List A cricket two days later against Gujarat in a Vijay Hazare Trophy game.

Nagarkoti’s father served in the Indian Army as a subedar. He invested his retirement funds in a one-bedroom property in Jaipur so that his son could develop his cricket skills inside the flat.

Outstanding 2018 year for Kamlesh Nagarkoti

Kamlesh Nagarkoti, who usually bowls above 145 kph attracted attention during India’s victorious U19 World Cup campaign in 2018 and earned an admirer in Ian Bishop among many others.

He had excellent fielding skills that were almost as impressive as his pace. Nagarkoti was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 3.2 crore in a contract during the 2018 IPL auctions as a result of a streak of strong performances.

Early Success

Nagarkoti grabbed 14 wickets in two youth tests against England Under-19 at 15.14 in his maiden trip outside the subcontinent, including a match haul of 10 for 112 in the opening Test at Chesterfield. He was selected for India’s Under-19 team to compete in the 2018 World Cup after further outstanding performances.

Nagarkoti continued to advance swiftly and honed his inswinger and reverse-swing bowling techniques. This enabled him to consistently strike out batsmen.

Struggling on the path towards Success

When Nagarkoti’s first tryout for the Rajasthan U14 cricket team was unsuccessful. He went back and improved his outswinger in order to succeed on his subsequent attempt. Later, he continued to play regularly for U14, U16, and U19 teams.

Nagarkoti, who was chosen for the India U19 squad’s trip to England. He ended up taking the most wickets with 14 over the course of the two Youth Test matches.

He later made the India U23 team for the Asia Cup. Nagarkoti was chosen for the U19 team to represent India at the World Cup and already has an impressive performance.
