Jamaica Tallawahs was defeated by Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL 2022 by a tally of 4 wickets. The Knight Riders will accept the 2 points on the table despite the unimpressive victory. They are presently in third place on the table with 7 points.

After winning the toss Jamaica Tallawahs decided to bat first, the Jamaican side came on to bat with positive intent but failed to do as both the openers lost their wickets quickly and no one really kept going for the Jamaican side. Fabian Allen was the only player to shine from the Jamaican side as he scored 50 runs in 35 balls with three sixes and three fours. Ravi Rampaul outclassed the Jamaican side as he picked up four wickets in four overs and give just 19 runs, Dupavillon, Akeal Hosein, and Narine picked up one wicket each to restrict the Jamaican side to 116/7 in 20 overs.

In reply, the Knight Riders also lost their openers Nicholas Pooran and Tion Webster very early on the game, making things difficult for the Knight riders, Colin Munro and wicket-keeper Tim Seifert tried to build the innings and to the extent they did, Munro scored runs from 28 balls with three sixes and three fours and Seifert scored 28 runs from 31 balls.

Even after the good start by Munro and Seifert Knight Riders lost wickets at regular intervals and the match was turning out to be something unexpected, Mohammad Amir picked up 2 wickets, Chris Green, Imad Wasim, Migael Pretorius, and Fabian Allen all four picked one wicket each.

But somehow the Knight Riders have managed to chase down the target with five balls to spare. Trinbago Knight Riders won the match by four wickets.

Ravi Rampaul was awarded the player of the match for his incredible bowling performance helping Knight Riders to restrict the Jamaican side for a decent total.

After the match in the post-match interview, Rampaul stated that “I was padded up, was ready if needed. Back in Trinidad, enjoying playing in front of this crowd. The plans worked well for me tonight, we’re getting better as a team, getting stronger with each and every game, and I think the momentum is coming towards us. We will take matches as they come.”

TKR is presently ranked third in the CPL Points Table. From 7 games, they have 3 wins and 7 points. Despite losing to TKR, the Jamaica Tallawahs have remained in second place on the table, JT has 8 points from 8 games. Barbados Royals With 12 points from 7 games are in first place on the points table.
